TFM Principles

Inside Outsourcing

Inside Outsourcing is a culture at the heart of TFM Networks and its customer proposition. It’s what makes us different and what gives us our Unique Competitive Advantage. It’s not something that’s easy to codify because it’s an attitude not a product. It’s a value add that you either value or you don’t. It’s a principle that only runs through a company that puts all the bits (and bytes) together for its customers.

It’s summed up by the comments of our customers:

“We need suppliers that can rise to the challenge – take the issue by the scruff of the neck and sort it.” It’s cultural rather than contractual, because there isn’t a contract that says – ‘and everything else that I’ve not thought of!’ But, essentially, that’s how the agreement works with TFM Networks.”

“We have a long standing relationship with TFM Networks which is maintained by their desire to integrate and understand our business and support processes.”

“The nature of the relationship we have with TFM Networks means that they act as extension of our business. That makes all the difference because they spend more time on getting it right and less justifying why they haven’t.”

The problem is that for the most part traditional Telcos are just too big to care that much. They’re embedded in the marginal cost economics of running a network. So when you sign a three or five year deal, for the most part the dialogue for the contract period ends rather than starts there! The whole objective is to freeze the relationship - because that’s cost effective for them.

TFM Networks has a totally different approach underpinned by our Virtual Network (VNO) credentials and our Stepped Change approach. Our whole proposition is about engaging throughout the contract period – constantly driving change and benefit through ongoing dialogue, integrated client processes, and new service delivery.

It’s an approach that recognizes and welcomes the fact that existing services are, inevitably of decreasing value over time. It’s the new challenges and opportunities afforded by IP Economics that drive Profitable Networking for customers and for TFM Networks.

Of course, the proof of the culture pudding is in the eating. What we can do is state our intent, lay the foundations and parameters in our contracts and of course invite you to speak to our customers and read some of our case studies.
